gigmath

Tiny side-hustle rate calculator: one Python file, stdlib only, prints true hourly rate after hidden costs.

Feed it a gig’s payout and it subtracts the costs people forget and prints the rate that actually lands: platform cut, self-employment tax set-aside, mileage at the IRS rate, gear amortized over its life, and unpaid hours for intake, admin, and travel. It compares the result to your local minimum wage so you can see the gap, supports β€”json for scripts, refuses negative costs, and it exists because I kept taking jobs that looked great until the math said otherwise. The README links ExtraHustles, where I publish this kind of rate math for gig apps, reselling, and freelancing.
